Blue Cipher was founded by Jason Gillan with a simple belief: security shouldn’t be confusing, overwhelming, or bolted on as an afterthought.

After 15 years working across Defence, FinTech, MSPs, and SaaS organisations, one pattern became impossible to ignore: most security problems weren’t caused by tools or people — they were caused by communication. Security only works when it’s accessible, understandable, and woven into every part of a business. No one should feel afraid to ask a question or admit a mistake. Security should live with everyone, not sit siloed in a single team.
